Cross-cultural Skills consultancy
Sunit Jilla conducts seminars/workshops for UK/Indian companies and software professionals to help them develop business and customer-facing skills. A fluent German speaker and having studied French for seven years, he also assists British/European companies in understanding and working with cultural diversity, with particular emphasis on the outsourcing process. Drawing on his first-hand experience of working and living in various continents, he is acutely aware of the complexity of roles and situations that develop in typical offshore outsourcing engagements to:
identify ongoing training requirements of overseas software professionals
bridge cultural gaps and quickly adapt to new business environments
understand customer expectations and to meet and exceed them

Workshops on Indian culture
 
These cover the basics on Indian culture and what organisations can expect while working with Indian professionals here and in India. Ideally suited for those organisations either planning to outsource for the first time or those with limited experience, this program will help organisations in the initial phases of the outsourcing roadmap prior to establishing a presence in India, with guidance on common, often hidden problems.
   
Workshops for management

Speaking Engagements
Sunit is a regular contributor on outsourcing and cross-culture related matters to industry publications including Dataquest, Economic Times and the Institute of Directors, both in India and the UK. The Council of EU Chambers of Commerce, Software Technology Parks of India (Hyderabad) and the National HRD Network have all invited him to present at seminars for Indian IT companies seeking to establish operations in the UK.

Based on his strong links with the UK, his speaking engagements have included delivering talks to the BCS (British Computer Society) and ATSCO (Association of Technical Staffing Companies) in London, and more recently, he was invited to speak on behalf of the UK Government's Department of Trade and Industry ‘Invest UK' initiative at NASSCOM 2003 in India, on the threats and opportunities posed towards the UK Software Services market.
